Vessel of Light
This work is conceived as a delicate membrane that gathers the surrounding light and gently releases it back into the space. Its soft glow, reminiscent of moonlight, creates a subtle, shifting luminosity within the refined interior, where it quietly complements the atmosphere of the guest room.
Masanori Nishikawa
Born in Obihiro, Hokkaido, in 1968, Nishikawa graduated from the Painting and Crafts Program at Hokkaido University of Education (Sapporo Campus) in 1991. In 1992, he received the Grand Prize at the Craft City Takaoka Craft Competition, followed by the Excellence Award at the Asahi Contemporary Craft Exhibition in 1995. He completed the Master's Program at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 1997. In 2019, he was selected as a finalist for the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize.
