Radiant in Full Bloom
A series of kumiko artworks by Masanobu Shiozawa. Centered on the chrysanthemum, a traditional Japanese symbol of longevity and nobility, the series also incorporates the Houoh, waterside scenery, and idealized landscapes. Together, these motifs express enduring wishes for peace, prosperity, and long life through the refined artistry of traditional kumiko craftsmanship.
Masanobu Shiozawa
Born in Iida, Nagano Prefecture, in 1973, Shiozawa exhibited at the National Joinery Exhibition in 2001, becoming the youngest recipient of the Prime Minister's Award. In 2013, he was selected for the Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition) for the first time. He regularly holds solo exhibitions at the Ginza Mikimoto Main Store in Tokyo and at leading department stores throughout Japan. In 2019, he received the Contemporary Crafts Award at the Japan Contemporary Crafts Art Exhibition.
