A glass work distinguished by its shifting hues, which transition from deep blue to green, recalling the azure sea and sky. It evokes the vitality and profound depth of nature while conveying a warmth and individuality that only handcrafted work can achieve.
Midori Tsukada
Born in Gifu Prefecture in 1972, Tsukada completed the Graduate Program at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art in 2002. After graduating from the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo (Crafts Institute) in 2004, she joined its faculty in 2006. In 2011, she established her studio and residence in Toyama City. She received the Gold Prize at the International Glass Exhibition Kanazawa 2013. Her works are included in the collections of institutions in Japan and abroad, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa.
